If we are to continue to believe the argument that illegal aliens are harmless lost souls who deserve a better life here in America, than we must apologize for the recent deportation of two of them.

Adios, fugitives, we hope your stay was dandy/Thinkstock

Both fugitives from Mexico, one was wanted for murder and the other for sexual assault in two unrelated crimes in their homeland.

Julian Aguirre-Palacios, 33, and Tomas Gerardo Velazquez-Bonilla, 33, both of whom fled Mexico and somehow sneaked into the United States, were arrested and deported Nov. 5, according to a news release from the U.S. Marshals Service.

Aguirre-Palacios is wanted in Naco, Sonora, Mexico, for the September homicide of a 16-year-old girl who was beaten and thrown down a flight of stairs.

Velazquez-Bonilla is wanted in Las Lomas De Tokya, Sinaoloa, Mexico, for sexual assault. No further details were offered on his alleged crime except to say it was a “young victim.” We shudder to think of age range possibilities.

Aguirre-Palacios was arrested in Phoenix Oct. 27 and had to suffer through sitting around in the custody of Customs Enforcement Detention and Removal Operations (ICE-DRO) until his deportation order came through. We do hope he was well fed.

He was tracked down through tips from Sonora State Investigative Police (PEI) and the Attorney General of Mexico, Regional Legal and Law Enforcement Attaché.

Velazquez-Bonilla, perhaps not as crafty as his fellow countryman, had already been in ICE custody. He could have easily been sent back to Mexico a free man had the U.S. Marshals Mexican Investigative Liaison (MIL) Unit not found him and mentioned his sexual assault charges.

The news release quote:

“U.S. Marshals and our law enforcement partners on both sides of the border worked together to arrest two fugitives accused of particularly heinous crimes,” said David Gonzales, United States Marshal for the District of Arizona, “hopefully, a grieving family and a young victim will find justice.”

Please note: This article contains sarcasm as we are exhausted with the wholly annoying and misinformed argument that illegal aliens are harmless lost souls who deserve a better life here in America.
