would be a much
better place if
people all
turned into
june bugs – there’d be
no pollution from
factories or cars we
would travel by
dive-bombs or
swoops – we could
bang into screens for
cheap entertainment
not get
stuck with
reality TV – our
lifespans would be
short, and only active
in the summer, no
time to build
resentments or
get crotchety and
old – we would
die like we
lived with
abandon pep
and flair leaving
sweet
metallic corpses
behind.
