This fun Odd Pueblo feature asks the audience to rate a trend, topic or sighting of something around town: is it snappy or crappy?
Since none of you seemed too enamored by the severed javelina head posted in the previous Snappy or Crappy, I’ve come up with something more subdued.
Kind of.
This bugged out Volkswagon bug was spotted in a midtown Target parking lot. While the owner was nowhere to be found, there were several kids standing around marveling at the thing.
My vote is definitely snappy.

Remember, I’m not asking if you’d drive the thing, especially since it looks like it wouldn’t have working air conditioning. I’m just asking if you find it funky or junky, crappy or snappy.
What do you think? Please respond:
a. Snappy. Totally reminds me of my drugged-out days in the late 60s, totally.
b. Crappy. What a hunk of junk.
c. I would love to date someone who owned that thing but I wouldn’t want it myself.
d. That’s my car!
Do you have a snappy or crappy to share? E-mail rynski@tucsoncitizen.com
Okay, Ryn. I don’t know that I would go with ‘snappy’, but out of ‘funky’ or ‘junky’ I have to say FUNKY!
My fourth grade teacher, Mrs. Burnham, who was the coolest teacher on the planet by the way, owned an old vw bug that she had painted big huge flowers all over it. She said she did it because the paint was fading under the flowers, but I just thought she was hip. She also had those super cool square, wire rimmed glasses that hippies wore.
I wonder where she is now?!!?
I saw that POS parked outside Performance Bike on speedway, total crap hunk’o junk. I smelled the pachoulie hippy driving it in the store from 100 feet away, dreads, tie dye, birckenstocks, what a tool.
LOL!!
Thank you, I’ll be here till Friday!
Great! Look forward to more of your comments.
lol
I’m waiting for Ryn-Ryn to post a pic of herself in some homeless womens clothing and ask “Crappy or Snappy?” and them I will really cut loose!!!!!!!!!!!!!
oops “then” need a beer I think!
Peace of funky crap. If this was in my neighborhood, I would move. 🙂
a. Snappy. Totally reminds me of my drugged-out days in the late 60s, totally.
Definitely snappy and funky. I have an artist friend who drove a VW bug that was similarly painted back in the 60’s and this car brings back some good memories.
I bet your buddys’ bug was painted alot cooler than that thing. A few red slogans and a nice rendition of Che or Huey Newton?
