Police departments across the globe are suffering from budget cuts, but cops in England found a quick way to raise some cash. They are selling panties, lingerie and other racy items at auction.
That story and more are up this week on Rynski’s Shattered Reality radio show on Party934.com and FM 94.9 in Hudson Valley, N.Y.
Next show is Wednesday, Oct. 6 (today!) and every Wednesday online at Party934.com. Showtime is noon in Arizona, 3 p.m. EST.
Tucson, New York City and Winchester Cathedral are a few fine areas you’ll hear tunes about with this week’s musical theme of places. And don’t forget the weekly polka fix.
Thanks, as always, to those who contributed suggestions.
Requests for future shows welcome; please leave them below.

What do you think?
Has your home ever been invaded by rats, mice, cockroaches or other fun critters?
Have you ever lived in Toledo?
The photo of the two rats remind me of a couple of relatives of mine.
awww, you have some cutie-pie relatives, then – hahhahahah
I wuz just in Toledo (pronounced “toe-lee-dah” by the locals) in April. There are pretty areas, and there are areas that look like Lima OH (the real place not the “Glee” Lima OH). Didn’t see any rats, but I wuzzent looking for any.
We are safe, as I am glad that the Police are not selling “broken in” skivvies.
Frank Zappa Hot Rats. Beatles Blackbird.
ooooh! awesome music requests, alan in kent wa – thanks!
blackbird is one of my all time faves! (and of course i dig any rats!)
i have to do PLACES again next week, since i have too many cool songs i didn’t get to play, but will put your animal requests on list for 10/20 show.
never been to ‘toe-lee-dah’ – never been to lima OH, either – maybe i’ll put those on a future list, too – hahah. glad you found fine areas in the former.
The Rolling Stones:
Stray Cat Blues, Bitch, Wild Horses, Under My Thumb, Beast Of Burden, The Spider And The Fly, Little Red Rooster, Harlem Shuffle, Monkey Man, I’m A King Bee, Walking The Dog.
monkey man!!! another one of my faves – thanks, scout’s mom – going on the 10/20 show list – perhaps with some others.
oh! i’ll also get a chance to play at least one more STONES song for PLACES, as it’s again the theme next week. i so loved hearing shattered this week.
keep your glorious requests comin!
Oops..forgot one:
Look What The Cat Dragged In
Rynski, whilst Winchester Cathedral is a fine little ditty in it’s own right, it is certainly a feeble substitute for a C&W standard like London Homesick Blues. 😉
BTW, I have been off to the four corners of the globe searching high and low(emphasis on low 🙂 ) searching out songs for my favorite radio hour.
Cool show once again, mogulette o’ melodrama. 🙂
alas, i know winchester cathedral could not TAKE THE PLACE of your c&w request, but perhaps you’ll allow it to HOLD THE PLACE until it’s featured in next week’s show.
longer songs are sometimes hard to fit in, and that one clocks in at more than 7 mins. stay tuned for it next week!
also thought adding ‘roadkill’ to the upcoming call for songs for oct. 20 show would help quell you – hahahhahah.
thanks for compliments – and your continued listening and requests!
Hola Rynster:
Have not had the pleasure of listening in, but here would be my request for animal songs…..Heck just spin the whole album.
Pink Floyd “Animals” – Pigs on the wing part 1, Dogs, Pigs (three different ones), Sheep, Pigs on the wings part 2.
hey oldwest2 –
cool to hear from you!!
and THANK YOU!! for bringing up floyd’s animals album – i dig every track!! tempted to spin the whole album, but i’ll pick out at least one song for you…
i esp like the animal noises in background, like the oinking pigs….
Hey, I was born and raised in Toledo and I don’t know anyone who calls it To-lee-duh. Alan in Kent WA must have been hanging with aliens. I am about to make a trip back there to visit with family. I will have to check out the rats. But I do know that our desert pack rats are a lot cute than city rats.
